Riding a Zebu Cart in Madagascar

Riding a Zebu Cart in Madagascar

After a three day descent of the Tsiribihina River on a canoe, we finally arrive at Antanambao a small marketon the south bank of the river, where our guide and friend Moussa after a hard negotioation with the locals loads us on a Zebu cart! The bumpy road takes us after one hour and a half to Astirarakara, from which, after a well earned night sleep, we will again jump on an overloaded Taxi Brousse to Morondava, where our driver and dear friend Andry is waiting for us on his “luxurious” BMW 316 from 1985! Surely you can’t get these things nowhere else in the word but Madagascar!
