Beers!

In every trip, and in every country we’ve visited, we tasted different local brewed beers. We strongly encourage you to do the same. We’ve listed all of them here.

Some are good, some are passable, others absolutely gorgeous like Samoa’s Vailima.

The uniqueness of beer is that you can find it everywhere around the world, but this product has not been (yet) surrendered to the global market logic, so in every country you go, you will find its unique brand. Great!

Enjoy!

Wales – notes from the journey

Wales 2009

Croeso y Cimru!

Welcome to Wales!

Wales

Wales

A short escape toward North Europe wandering between old Medieval Castles:  (Castell-Y-Bere, Caemarfon Castle), charming ruined abbeys: (Tintern Abbey, St David’s Cathedral),  dark lakes hiding improbable monsters, green fields, lots of sheep everywhere, evocative oceanic coasts, forest natural parks and desolate land (Brecon Beacons), little villages built in “Italian Style” once used as movie set (Portmerion, The Prisoner) tiny steam trains up and dwn the mountains (FFestinog Railways), poet’s homes (Laugharne. Dylan Thomas),  countless pubs, cosy bed & breakfast, secondary roads leading to fields yellow with brooms, sudden showers and rare but warming sunrays.

And in the end a three day tour in the terrible and amazing chaos of London, the Big City, wandering between museums (National Gallery) squares (Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus), markets (Camden Town, Portobello Road), obligatory stops (Tower Bridge, Buckingam Palace, Westminster, Big Ben) and… many hours in the Tube. And of course the chance to meet our friends Anna and Ian, whom we had met last year in El Salvador.

Is it better the peaceful and bucolic Wales or the startling and frenetic London?

We think it’s better to see both, you should try too…

Here it is:
